First, before losing or gaining you'll need to find out what's your caloric maintenance (based on gender, age, weight, activity level). For example, let's assume mine is at 2000 kcal daily.
In LeanCut phase to lose fat, use 10-25% deficit from 2000 kcal or 10-20% surplus for LeanGains phase to gain more muscle.

As you can see, there's not much of a difference between the 2 phases other than calorie consumed daily. In the end, i belief the adoption of daily habits with minimal changes are best for ensuring sustainability of long term result & progress
